Oticon Intent 2 Hearing Aids Overview

Introducing Oticon Intent 2 hearing aids, launched in February 2024, showcasing the newly designed, including miniRITE Oticon's smallest RIC shape to date.

Oticon Intent 2 is the second technology level out of four.  Oticon has consistently steered away from the "one size fits all" mindset in developing its hearing solutions, prioritising personalisation for the best hearing experience. 

Oticon Intent 2's 4D Sensor and BrainHearing technology

Oticon has refined its Deep Neural Network (DNN 2.0) and introduced 4D sensor technology on the ground-breaking Sirius platform, enhancing speech clarity and understanding in background noise. Even if two individuals with hearing difficulties share the same listening environment, Oticon believes their hearing aids should adapt to meet specific needs.

Intent uses the new 4D sensor technology to calculate head and body movements, conversation patterns, and environmental cues. This technology mirrors your brain as it learns from experiences and leverages your brain's natural ability to prioritise sounds. The upgrade also promises a wider variety of sounds, especially in challenging environments.

Oticon 2's technology at a glance:

• Listening environment:  Sensors tap into data from your soundscape (360º) as it changes in both acoustics and location.
• Head movement:  Sensors monitor when and how you move your head to understand communication scenarios.
• Body movement:  Physical movement sensors help predetermine the need for more support in spatial awareness within your environment.
• Conversation activity:  Intent monitors active conversations to know when to focus on speech.

Oticon's MoreSound technology, connectivity, accessories, and colours

The MoreSound technology, including the MoreSound Amplifier 3.0 and MoreSound Intelligence 3.0, aims to provide precise, balanced amplification across a broad range of frequencies, resulting in cleaner and clearer sound input.

Oticon offers its smallest rechargeable RIC hearing aid to date, the miniRITE. Intent's discreet shape includes a telecoil, a large lithium-ion battery, touch control, push button, and, when fully charged, offers 20 hours of battery life, even with streaming, and 4 hours of use with a quick 15-minute charge (using the Oticon desk charger).

Get the most out of your hearing aids with discreet control, personalising your soundscape, and accessing support from your audiologist using the Companion and ON apps. Oticon Intent hearing aids are also compatible with accessories: ConnectClip, TV Adapter 3.0, Remote Control 3.0, EduMic, and Phone Adapter 2.0. Intent's mobile compatibility is iOS 16 or later and Android 13 or later.

Available in a range of colours including chroma beige, silver grey, silver, terracotta, chestnut brown, steel grey, diamond black, honey beige, and sky blue. 

What do you lose when comparing Oticon Intent 2 hearing aids with 1?

While the main technology features introduced in this range are present, there is a trade-off in spatial balance and noise suppression at this performance level.
