Resound Nexia 7 Hearing Aids Overview

Launched in February 2024, Resound Nexia 7 hearing aids offer an innovative sound experience tailored for mild to profound hearing loss levels. Representing Resound's most advanced technology to date, these aids provide enhanced support and connectivity, including Organic Hearing technology, and are Bluetooth Auracast ready.

Key features of Nexia 7

Enjoy a remarkable 150% improvement in speech understanding in noisy environments, achieved through a combination of narrow beamforming directionality and omni-directional listening. 

The Environmental Optimiser automatically adjusts for optimal hearing in different environments and the Adaptive Directionality feature reduces loud noises that can hinder hearing.

Hearing aid models available

microRIE 60 (Rechargeable) A slim Receiver-in-Canal design with a lithium-ion all-day battery. Includes tap control and push button, streams calls from mobile phones, and connects to Resound's wireless accessories including the TV-Streamer+. Compatible with premium, standard, and desktop chargers.

RIE 61 (Size 312 Battery) A compact Receiver-in-Canal running on size 312 zinc-air batteries. Includes a push button, streams calls from mobile phones, and connects to Resound's wireless accessories including the TV-Streamer+.

RIE 62 (Size 13 Battery) The larger battery-powered RIC option, running on size 13 zinc-air batteries. Includes a multi-function button and built-in telecoil — useful if you regularly visit venues with hearing loop systems. Streams calls from mobile phones and connects to Resound's wireless accessories.

BTE / Power BTE (Rechargeable) Rechargeable Behind-the-Ear hearing aids with a lithium-ion battery, push button, and built-in telecoil. Compatible with the full range of Resound accessories and charges via a desktop charger.

ITC / ITE (Rechargeable) Rechargeable custom hearing aids with a lithium-ion battery, supplied with a dedicated custom charger.

CIC (Size 10a Battery) A completely-in-canal hearing aid running on traditional size 10a zinc-air batteries — discreet, lightweight, and virtually invisible when worn.

What you lose when comparing the Resound Nexia 7 hearing aids with the 9

When comparing the Resound Nexia 7 hearing aids to the Nexia 9 the second-generation Environmental Optimiser is substituted with Environmental Optimiser II in the Nexia 7. Additionally, the Nexia 7 features All-Access, which replaces the 360 All-Around capability found in the Nexia 9. The Ultra Focus feature takes the place of Front Focus in the Nexia 7.
