Amplifon is an Italian hearing aid retailer with its head office in Milan
They operate in 20 countries throughout the world. In 2006 Amplifon purchased the British hearing aid retailer, the Ultravox Group. The Ultravox group went under several different retail names – Amplivox, Ultratone, Sietech and Hearing Health. Soon after the purchase, the shops were rebranded in the smart Amplifon red and white theme.
In the UK they have 141 branches and over 100 hearing aid dispensers. Their head office in the UK is in Manchester, near to the airport. In 2003 GN Resound the Danish hearing aid manufacturer acquired a 25% shareholding in Ultravox Group.
In 2006 when Amplifon bought the Ultravox group, GN Resound sold their shareholding to Amplifon and struck up a multi-year European supply agreement. To this day they still sell a lot of Resound hearing instruments.
Amplifon hearing aid costs
We are confident that our prices are more competitive than Amplifon’s so please compare our hearing aid price list to any quote you may have had from them. Amplifon has been known to offer a “price match guarantee” on occasion.
Essentially this means that if someone else (like us perhaps) offers the same product at a lower price then they may match it given certain criteria. At Your Hearing, we believe in offering one low price all the time. We don’t believe in selling at low prices only when required. We do it all the time.
Like so many hearing aid retailers, Amplifon does not publish prices on its website. Now why do you suppose that is?
